The Catholic Church is the largest Christian denomination in the United States, accounting for about 25 percent of the country’s population.
You are likely reading this page because there is a voice speaking within you. It is reminding you of who you are. One day in your life you were brought by your parents or you walked to the baptismal font at your local Catholic parish church. You received a new permanent identity that day. Although you might have forgotten who you are, your soul has not.
A few reasons why you might be here:
5. You hunger for meaning and purpose in your life.
4. You recognize a need for God's forgiveness and healing for failings and a need for His mercy to become a better person
3. You have a family and you are looking for a strong foundation of faith upon which you can help your family grow to be happy.
2. The Catholic Church has the seven Sacraments: real signs of God's divine action in one' s life.
1. You are looking for Truth.
Whatever has brought you here, you are not here by mistake. I invite you to take the next step in resuming the journey you began on the day of your baptism. By virtue of your baptism, you have always been a part of the family, and we are and will continue to wait for your return home. Our hope is that your journey starts now to becoming an active member of the family.
Undoubtedly you might be a little hesitant, thinking to yourself: "I do not know much or remember much of what the Church believes." "I have been away for so long and......" "I do not know anyone there." "None or very few of my friends and family are practicing our faith and I am not going to know anyone in the Church." I am sure that there are many other reasons that you can give as to why this is a challenge. All of these are valid concerns. But I can give you one reason that you should come back home: because God loves you and you want to love Him in return.

You are not the only one who is reading this. There are others who are looking to make their way back to participating in the life of Christ's Body. There are many resources to help with this. One of these includes Catholics Come Home (www.catholicscomehome.org).
But we know that there are some things that the internet cannot answer and so that is why you should contact us in order to set up a visit with Fr. Eric Bennett. He is waiting for you. (place contact link here) And yes, sometimes meeting the priest as the first step is difficult for newcomers...so bring a friend with you.
Catholics Come Home is a non-profit, independent charity whose purpose is to invite inactive Catholics, and others searching for a faith home, to the Catholic faith. Their informative and interactive website helps to answer questions about Church teachings and gives an overview of the Catholic faith. Some of its founders and supporters recently returned to the Catholic faith and want to share their positive experiences with others. Many never left the Church, but recently grew to understand and appreciate their Catholic faith more deeply. All feel part of a big Catholic family, who sincerely hope others will also find more peace, real answers, and true happiness through the gift of faith.
Please feel free to explore any questions you may have about the Catholic Church or how you can return to active participation in the Church by visiting the Catholics Come Home website.
